Synchro
The Synchronised club was formed in the 1970's at Sharley Park Leisure Centre. Currently we have 18 swimmers and this sport is for both boys and girls who must be able to swim at least 6 lengths of a 25metre pool. Swimmers begin at preliminary stage 1 through to 3, then work through the figure and routine grades 1-5 and skill levels 1-5. We also like to arrange other activities for members such as the Christmas disco and days out at theme parks.

Chief Coach is Jean Timmons assisted by assistant teachers Cathy Macdonald, Hannah Montague, Mandy Vernon, Michelle Pearce, Emma Jevons and Lauren Blunden.
Every year, as well as participating in several competitions at other venues, we stage the "Crooked Spire Routine Competition" which is attended by clubs from around the country. There are also social activites for members such as our annual water show performances and the Christmas Disco.
Subscriptions: - An annual subscription of £32.00 is payable to Rykneld Swimming Club in January of each year and monthly fees are also paid. Swimmers training on Saturdays only, pay £12.00 and squad swimmers pay £20 for training on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
What will i need?
Equipment needed for normal training sessions include goggles, swim cap, nose clip (can be purchased from the synchro section) and of course a swimming costume and towel. The nose clip is a very important piece of equipment for synchronized swimmers; it prevents water entering the nasal cavity when upside down and later causing sinus infections.
Training Times
Tuesday 8.00PM - 10PM
Saturday 5.00PM - 7PM
