Competitions

There are many different types of competition which those new to swimming may find confusing. The Committee and coaches of the Club try to enter the Club in a range of competitions which are appropriate to the standard of our swimmers, in other words not all swimmers will be able to compete in every competition. Information on the types of competitions we attend can be found here>>

Rykneld Swimming Club - Squads 2010
Training Times

All Swimmers are expected to abide by the Swimmers Code of Conduct

Senior A Squad

For swimmers aged 13 and above who are willing to attend most if not all the bold sessions available. The bold sessions if completed will keep training volumes high and ensure adequate rest periods for recovery. Sessions in red can be used by all means but due to the high numbers in attendance at these sessions they will be more of a catch up session if they can’t attend others to allow other squads to train comfortably. Swimmers must be willing to try attending a minimum of 6-8 training sessions each week including up to 3 mornings out of the 11 sessions available. Excellent punctuality and training habits will be expected. Swimmers in this squad should be aiming to gain top 6 positions in the County Championships and achieve Midland qualifying times.

NB: If swimmers wish to attend Morning Training but need to leave early for any reason such as School or Work, that’s perfectly fine just mention it at the beginning of the session to the coach.
